New House

Our first house. This has been our fun lately. When we moved in, every wall was white and every fixture, gold! Weekends and evenings have been spent painting, building, SPENDING to make our house a home. You won't find a white wall now. James has done so much and I'm so proud of him. When we first moved, he said he could paint and change light bulbs. But thanks to TLC and HGTV, he's building kitchen islands, replacing light fixtures, adding hardware and any other creative idea that comes to mind. We also had family come in and help paint as well. Thank you!!! We have some beginning and end pictures. But, we are not done!

For Real?

In January, we made photo flip books to tell our families we were pregnant. The photo album is filled with photos from our honeymoon and birthday. The last 2 photos are ultrasounds. It takes a while for my mom to get through the book, but I promise her reaction is worth the wait! She really never thought I would have kids. Growing up, I never did and always told her I would adopt. But surprise!

SLC

I'm heading to SLC tomorrow to have a girl's weekend with my best friend, Shiela. We are both pregnant (only 5 weeks apart) and we're going to shop for baby clothes and maternity clothes. Honestly, how fun can it be to shop for maternity clothes? The snow is STILL falling and my snow day is now over. Although working from home doesn't really qualify as a free day in my book. Hopefully the weather is better by the time I fly out tomorrow. My fear of flying coupled with snow makes my stomach queasy.

Baby Mac

8 week ultrasound

This week I began my 17th week of pregnancy. We heard the heartbeat last week and it was very fast (about 160 beats/minute) and the Doc said it sounded good. We find out the sex of the baby on April 7th. However, I don't think we'll spill the beans to everyone that soon. We really don't have a preference on this one. I think we would if this was our second one, but we really are just hoping for healthy. We are pretty sure we have the names picked out for either sex. Our boy's name is a family name and the girls is just one we heard one day. I'm not really showing yet, but I can tell my stomach is growing and my pants are starting to shrink. Maternity clothes seem too big and my normal pants are too small. Stuck in the middle for now! James talks to the baby everynight now since this week, our little baby's sense of hearing is developing. I have recently felt the baby kick and that was an exciting feeling.

Coltrane

Here's our one and only nephew, Colten. Or as I like to call him "Coltrane". His parents have aspirations of football stardum, but I think he'll be a little jazz musician. Not really....but he sure is sweet!

Wedding Day

Here is my wonderful husband James and I on our wedding day, last September. We have had a whirlwind of a relationship. But I guess when you know, you know! We met at work in January of 2007, engaged in August of 2007, married in September of 2008 and expecting our first baby in August of 2009. We don't mess around. We also just bought our first house in January so we're busy getting it ready for our new arrival.
